The Committee on the Implementation of the Good Friday Agreement is an Oireachtas committee which was set up to deal with and engage in debate on reconciliation, commemoration and North / South co-operation issues. Recently, on November 9th, the Glencree Peace and Reconciliation Centre were invited to speak at an Oireachtas discussion on legacy issues arising from political conflict on the island of Ireland. Glencree were represented by Barbara Walshe, Chair of the Glencree Board and Pat Hynes, Head of the Glencree Legacy Team. They spoke about Glencree’s work in addressing the legacy of the past.
