‘Young Peacebuilders 2015’ recently held a residential event at Glencree. The weekend of the 25-27 September a group of young people aged between 18-24 and explored the principal themes of identity, the legacy of conflict in Ireland, north and south and leadership for peacebuilding. The group, which first met in Newry in August, has defined itself as ‘a unique collaborative network of diverse young people who work to build peace and inspire positive change and understanding’. A further event is planned for late October in Belfast.
