Glencree Mediation Training Residential – 24 & 25 March

11/2/25:The Glencree Women's Leadership Programme is pleased to announce details of our Mediation Training Residential which will take place in March 2025. Open to members of the Glencree All-Island Women’s Peacebuilding Network, the Conflict and Mediation Awareness residential will take place on 24th and 25th March. This two-day intensive residential is designed to help women peacebuilders deepen their understanding of conflict dynamics and develop core mediation skills. The training is particularly relevant for those who are addressing the challenges of rising polarisation in their communities.

During the two-day course, participants will gain valuable tools to understand conflict, including the Conflict Puzzle and Progression Analysis methods. They will also explore various conflict styles, focusing on self-awareness and its application to the mediation process.

A key component of the training will be an introduction to informal mediation approaches, covering both theory and practice. Core mediation skills such as active listening and managing informal mediation processes will also be emphasised to equip participants with the practical skills necessary for effective conflict resolution.

This latest in our Women's Leadership Programme training is part of a wider plan to support our All-Island Women's Network members in navigating difficult conversations and mediating conflicts within communities throughout 2025. For Network members interested in further developing their mediation skills, this training provides an excellent foundation, regardless of prior experience.

This Mediation Training Residential for members of our All-Island Women's Peacebuilding Network is fully funded by the Glencree Women’s Leadership Programme.

The Residential will get underway at 10am on 24th March, until 2pm on 25th March. Further details, including the registration form and residential venue, will be shared shortly. In the meantime, if you aren't already a member of our All-Island Women's Peacebuilding Network, we invite you to email amina.moustafa@glencree.ie to get your membership registration underway.
