The Glencree Women's Leadership Programme will host an in-person gathering for members of the Glencree All-Island Women's Peacebuilding Network, participants in our Women's Leadership Programme and women involved in peacebuilding in their community at the Glencree Centre on Wednesday 1 May 2024 from 12 noon to 3pm.

This planned in-person gathering of the programme continues the momentum from the recent 2-day Mediation Training Workshop held in Dundalk in February. Over 17 members received their Mediation Skills Certificates upon completion of the workshop with Certified MII Mediator Catherine O'Connell. In addition to their formal achievements, members highlighted the key benefits of the relationship-building and personal well-being opportunities integrated into the workshop. They felt that the workshop not only served as a crucial platform to re-engage and forge new connections but also provided a much-needed respite for reflection and meaningful interaction. This in turn contributed significantly to their capacity building, learning enhancement and professional development.

The upcoming in-person gathering will replace May's virtual Coffee and Collaboration session. Launched in early 2022, these virtual meetups have become a favourite for members, offering a regular, informal, and convenient way to network and collaborate with fellow women peacebuilders. The virtual gatherings will resume online in early June.
