Niamh Darcy

Niamh became Vice Chair of the Board of Glencree Centre for Peace and Reconciliation in 2021, having initially joined the Board in 2018. She is a passionate international development consultant specialising in Information Communication Technologies (ICT) and Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E), in women’s health, democracy and governance. Focused on ensuring solutions are locally driven, evidence based, scalable and sustainable, Niamh has provided technical assistance, local capacity building, broad stakeholder engagement, program management, and hired in-country project teams as well as partnering with local NGOs, universities and private companies. She combines a strong interest in Fair Trade with being an advocate for women and marginalised people. She has worked in post-conflict countries in Asia, Sub-Saharan Africa and MENA. Previously she worked in the private sector holding technology leadership positions at a variety of young start-up companies in the US and Ghana. Niamh holds an MS in Computer Science from Northeastern University (US), and a BS in Electronic Engineering from UCD.
