Maria Mirza is the Financial Controller at Glencree Centre for Peace and Reconciliation. She brings over 20 years of experience in financial management, governance, and project leadership across the nonprofit, public, and private sectors.

Maria has held accounting and quality audit roles within Ireland's public health sector and has led systems improvement and organisational change initiatives for both start-ups and established SMEs. She also has extensive experience working with nonprofit organisations in Canada and has volunteered both locally and internationally, with a longstanding commitment to human rights, equality, and social justice.

Maria is passionate about strengthening financial governance, improving organisational systems, and supporting organisations to achieve sustainable impact. Her values-led approach and commitment to ethical practice make her an excellent fit for Glencree's mission of promoting peace, reconciliation, and inclusive dialogue.

Outside of work, Maria enjoys travelling, hiking in the mountains, exploring different food cultures, and playing golf.
