Drawing on available resources and reflecting the needs and interests of the women and organisations involved in the Women's Leadership programme, Glencree facilitates events and activities designed to support women’s active participation in peacebuilding by strengthening their skills, confidence and knowledge.
Through the Capacity Building pillar, the programme facilitates residential dialogues, thematic workshops, webinars, training courses and learning exchanges. These events and activities focus on a range of themes such as leadership development, trauma awareness, policy engagement and mediation skills.
They are delivered in a way that is accessible, inclusive and responsive to the diverse needs of participants. Further collaboration and ownership by network participants is also encouraged through self-led projects and activities.
As women participants build their skills and knowledge, they become more confident in their role as leaders and influencers to shape processes and policies relating to women in peacebuilding and conflict transformation.
