The Women’s Voices pillar amplifies the voices of women affected by conflict and those building peace in their communities. Participants are supported in sharing their lived experiences and insights in community, political and policy spaces while also learning from the perspectives and experiences of others.
Participants take part in forums, storytelling and dialogues, as well as direct engagement with experienced influencers in political and civil society at local, national and international level. These engagements support reflection, connection and mutual understanding.
This work is grounded in the policy framework of UN Security Council Resolution 1325 on Women, Peace and Security, which recognises the unique impact of conflict on women and girls, and calls for their full and equal participation in peace processes. It also supports the implementation of Ireland’s Third National Action Plan on Women, Peace and Security.
By amplifying women’s voices, the programme helps ensure that the realities of women’s lives and a more inclusive and gender-conscious approach are reflected in the decisions and policies that shape peace and post-conflict transformation.
We transform conflict by focusing on 6 key programme areas and sharing our expertise internationally.
