The Bridge Intergenerational Storytelling project – Facilitator Training Course

02/7/24: Eighteen members of Glencree's All-Island Women's Peacebuilding Network will participate in a Story Exchange Facilitator Training course that gets underway next week. The training course, which is being held as part of The Bridge Intergenerational Storytelling project, will be delivered by Narrative4 (N4) facilitators across three modules. On successful completion of the course, participants will receive a Certificate and access to a Facilitator Toolkit that will include lesson plans and story exchanges for use in community settings.

The Bridge Intergenerational Storytelling project is a European Solidarity Corps-funded initiative that got underway in 2024. The project was developed and launched by five young members of Glencree's All-Island Women's Peacebuilding Network following their participation in Glencree's Missing Peace: Youth, Peace and Reconciliation project. Inspired by learnings from this project, the group set about developing their own project aimed at fostering connections and understanding across generations, particularly among women, using creative mediums.

In addition to the Story Exchange Facilitator training course, other activities that will take place as part of the project include:

  • Storytelling Sharing Circle - Creative Arts for Storytelling (Aug 2024)
  • Workshop - Theatre of Witness as a means of storytelling (Aug 2024)
  • Monitoring and Evaluation Residential - Reflection on Progress (Sept 2024)
  • In-person Story Exchange Event (Oct 2024)
  • Online Networking Event (Nov 2024)
  • Final Conference to showcase and share learnings (Nov/Dec 2024)

If you would like to participate in any of the activities of the Bridge Intergenerational Storytelling project, please email: amina.moustafa@glencree.ie.

The BRIDGE Intergenerational Storytelling project is funded by the European Solidarity Corps, managed by Leargas and supported by Glencree under the Women's Leadership Programme.

  • Ends.
