The Glencree Centre for Peace and Reconciliation is pleased to announce the appointment of Susan Cahill as Head of Operations. Susan joins the organisation’s Senior Management Team and will provide strategic and operational leadership across Governance and Compliance, Human Resources, Customer Relationship Management, Project Management, Development, and Procurement.
Working closely with the CEO and Board, Susan will play a central role in strengthening corporate governance, enhancing organisational systems, and ensuring the effective delivery of Glencree’s programmes and strategic priorities. She will also act as a key co-ordinator of the Centre’s operational and administrative support functions.

Susan holds an LL.M. in International Human Rights Law and a postgraduate qualification in Green Technologies, alongside advanced certifications in Project, Change, and Risk Management. As a journalist and documentary maker, she has worked with UN agencies and Irish and international NGOs across Africa, South and Central America, South East Asia, and the Middle East, producing work that amplifies marginalised voices and advances human rights and social justice.
Her previous leadership roles include senior positions with Newstalk, Mercy International Association, and Re-turn, where she delivered major initiatives spanning sustainability, digital transformation, and international engagement.
