Women’s Leadership Mediation Training Residential – 20 & 21 May 2025 – REGISTRATION OPEN

 

29/4/25: The Glencree Women's Leadership Programme is pleased to announce that registration is now open for our next Mediation Training Residential, taking place on 20-21st May at the Ballymascanlon House Hotel, Dundalk.

This second in our 2025 series of residential training sessions will focus on Perceptions and Cognitive Bias, together with an introduction to Principled Negotiation Theory and Practice. Designed for members of the Glencree All-Island Women’s Peacebuilding Network, the training aims to equip participants with practical tools to apply mediation and negotiation skills in their everyday community work.

Key learning outcomes will include:

  • Conflict Assessment and Design using the Nested Paradigm and Integrated Peacebuilding Framework
  • An understanding of Perceptions and Cognitive Biases
  • The Theory & Practice of the Principled Negotiation Approach
  • Core Negotiation Skills using the Preparation Tool

    Network members are now invited to register for this event. No prior experience of mediation is needed. As places are limited, early registration is advised. To ensure broad representation across the Network, we encourage a maximum of two participants per organisation.

    This latest in our Women's Leadership Programme mediation training sessions is tailored to the emerging needs of women peacebuilders and community leaders, particularly in relation to rising polarisation and far-right sentiment. Throughout 2025, the trainings will support our members to confidently navigate difficult conversations and mediate conflicts at community level.

    This upcoming session will build on the momentum of last months Mediation Training Residential in Dundalk where participants engaged in intensive learning on conflict dynamics and core mediation skills.
