Glencree Thanks CEO Naoimh McNamee for Eight Years of Leadership, Announces CEO Recruitment

The Board of Glencree extend our heartfelt thanks to Naoimh McNamee for eight years of dedicated and inspiring leadership as CEO of the Glencree Centre for Peace and Reconciliation.

Offering his appreciation, Chair Tom Arnold said:

“On behalf of the Board, I warmly thank Naoimh for her robust and creative leadership over the past eight years. She has guided Glencree with courage, imagination and deep commitment to its mission. We are profoundly grateful for her contribution and wish her every success and fulfilment in the years ahead.”

Throughout your tenure, you embodied Glencree’s core values of respect, inclusion, dialogue, courage, and commitment to peacebuilding. You consistently fostered spaces where diverse voices could be heard with dignity, championed reconciliation through meaningful engagement, and led with integrity, empathy, and vision. Your leadership has strengthened both the spirit and impact of Glencree’s work in profound and lasting ways.

As this chapter closes, we are deeply grateful for the legacy Naoimh leaves behind. Details of the recruitment process for a new CEO will be available shortly on www.glencree.ie, and we look forward to building on the strong foundations she has set.

Glencree is currently advancing a new portfolio of initiatives aimed at strengthening peace and reconciliation across the island of Ireland and in international contexts. Further announcements detailing this programme of work will be released in the coming weeks.
