Kitchen Assistant

Full-Time, Permanent role

Role Description:

We are currently seeking a Kitchen Assistant to join our friendly Armoury Café team. You will be joining a daytime Café in the heart of the Wicklow mountains, just 10 minutes from Enniskerry village. Your working hours will be 9.30am to 5.30pm, five days per week including weekends and with occasional evening work to cater for events.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist Chef with food preparation
• Cleaning and maintaining kitchen, equipment and utensils in line with Health & Safety guidelines
• Adherence to Food Safety, Health & Safety and HACCP procedures at all times
• Cleaning of Café and public facilities in line with Health & Safety guidelines
• Assisting in front of house duties if required
• Other general duties as required.

Reporting to: Café Manager and Chef

Salary & Benefits:

€12/hour

We offer lunch and on-site parking or transport to/from Enniskerry if necessary.

Location: Glencree Centre for Peace and Reconciliation, Glencree, Enniskerry, Co. Wicklow, A98 D635, Ireland. The Glencree Centre is located ten minutes’ drive from Enniskerry.

Experience and skills sought:

• Previous kitchen or catering industry experience preferred but not essential
• HACCP certification preferred
• Good organisation skills and ability to multitask
• A can-do attitude
• Ability to work on own initiative
• Good communication skills and ability to work well with others
