Glencree’s CEO Will Devas made a presentation to the Oireachtas’ Good Friday Implementation Committee in Leinster House on 24th September. The focus of the meeting was legacy issues for victims and their relatives which saw Glencree with a number of other groups from both north and south giving evidence. Many shared their experience and often frustration in the search for acknowledgement, truth and justice for their loved ones. Will strongly emphasised that dealing with legacy issues from our violent past must be done to secure a lasting peace whilst acknowledging that it will be extremely challenging.
