Ellen Roche

Board Director
Ellen Roche is an accomplished executive leader with extensive experience in governance, executive recruitment, organisational development, and public policy. Over a 24-year career with PwC Ireland, she led the firm's Executive Search practice, advising Boards across the public, private, and not-for-profit sectors on senior leadership and Independent Non-Executive Director appointments. During her career, she supported more than 200 executive and Board appointments for organisations including the Institute of Directors, IDA Ireland, Irish Cancer Society, Irish Rail, the Irish Universities Association, and the Arts Council.
Ellen began her career as a secondary school teacher and became actively involved in youth work through her local youth club in Cabra.
Before joining PwC, Ellen held senior programme management roles delivering European Union and International Fund for Ireland initiatives, leading large-scale programmes focused on skills development, employment, cross-border collaboration, and reconciliation. She worked closely with government departments and partner organisations across Ireland and Northern Ireland to design and deliver programmes that strengthened communities and supported economic and social development.
Ellen brings significant Board-level experience and currently serves on the Board of Skillnet Ireland, where she chairs the Finance and General Purposes Committee. She is also a member of the Remuneration Committee of the Law Society of Ireland and has served on the Board of St Laurence O'Toole's Special Secondary School.
