A qualified solicitor, Michelle Drury has over twelve years of legal experience spanning corporate governance, finance, commercial, employment, data protection, consumer, technology, regulatory and contract law. She has practiced in multiple jurisdictions including Dublin, Sydney and the Cayman Islands, working in leading commercial law firms and international corporations.

During her time in Sydney, Michelle also contributed to international human rights efforts through her work for the Adara Group, an international development organisation. This included travel to Nepal where she supported programmes in Kathmandu. On returning to Ireland, she completed a Masters in Peace Operations, International Humanitarian Law and Post Conflict at the Irish Centre for Human Rights, NUIG where she served as research assistant of senior lecturer Dr Maeve O’Rourke, followed by a secondment with Global Legal Action Network. Michelle cemented her international human rights and humanitarian experience as Senior Legal Counsel and Assistant Company Secretary for GOAL, where she worked across corporate governance, compliance and risk management.

In 2022, Michelle joined Irish Rule of Law International (IRLI) where she now leads the organisation's transitional justice and pro bono rule of law and access to justice programmes. She was admitted to the Bar of Ireland in 2023.
