Polina has extensive experience in community development, advocacy and engagement, working with migrant, minority ethnic and marginalised communities across Northern Ireland.

Originally from Bulgaria, Polina has worked in the community sector for a number of years, including with the Community Intercultural Programme (CIP) in Portadown and the Jethro Centre in Lurgan. In these roles, she supported individuals and families across a range of areas, including employment rights, welfare, housing, education and access to services. Her work has focused on building trust, strengthening community participation and developing positive relationships between communities, statutory agencies and community organisations.

Polina also worked on the cross-border Crossing Borders Breaking Boundaries project, supporting migrant workers, promoting awareness of their rights and encouraging greater inclusion and participation.

She holds a Level 7 Diploma in Community Development Practice from the University of Galway, alongside additional training and qualifications in community development, advocacy, good relations and peacebuilding.

Polina brings strong community engagement experience and a practical, inclusive approach to supporting participation, dialogue and relationship-building across diverse communities.
