On January 21st 2016 the premiere screening of the documentary Born and Reared took place at the Mermaid Arts Centre in Bray, Co. Wicklow. The film follows the story of four ordinary men, presented as a series of moving portraits, in post conflict Northern Ireland, telling their stories from a different perspective to the normal stereotypes that we are all familiar with.

The film was well received by the audience in attendance, who were given the opportunity after the screening to pose questions to the film makers Hen Norton and Dan Dennison.

The film will be further edited before final release and will be inclusive of the feedback given by the audience. Born and Reared will be screened across cinemas in Ireland and UK, and at selected international film festivals.

Glencree would like to thank Anne Ferris TD and the Mermaid Arts Centre in Bray for hosting this event in aid of our continued peacebuilding on the island of Ireland.
