Africa Day 2021: Entanglements – Africa and Dublin City

Voices of African Irish, Mixed Race Irish and African American Irish

On Tuesday 25th May, Glencree will host an event in association with Dublin City Council to celebrate Africa Day 2021. The event, entitled “Entanglements – Africa and Dublin City”, will feature representatives of the Irish African communities in Dublin, including African Irish, Mixed Race Irish and African American Irish.

Hosted as part of Glencree’s Better Community and Intercultural Relations Through Dialogue and Encounter Project, and funded by Irish Aid at the Department of Foreign Affairs, the event will celebrate the diversity of African cultures, showcase the valuable contribution of the community of people of African descent to Irish society; and highlight the strong links and relationship between Africa and Dublin City.
