5/7/2022: Glencree Centre for Peace and Reconciliation (Glencree) is pleased to announce the appointment of Fardus Sultan to the Board of Directors. Originally from Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and a survivor of the Bosnian war, Ms Sultan has been living in Ireland for almost 30 years. She is a Lecturer, PhD Researcher, Co-founder and Managing Director of an IT consultancy and digital marketing company, and a Board member and advisor in the not-for-profit, community and local authority sectors.

Welcoming Ms Sultan to the Board, Glencree Chair, Barbara Walshe said: “Fardus has been a strong supporter of Glencree’s work over many years. She has dedicated her life to supporting women, refugees, migrants and members of ethnic and faith minority communities living in Ireland. Her experience at Board and advisory level, her professional expertise, and her personal journey as a survivor of the Bosnian war who made Ireland her home and now works to make it a more welcoming and inclusive place for all, is a tremendous asset to our Board.”
